Bat For Lashes teams up with TOY for cover of Iranian track 'Aroos Khanom'

Following on from the pair’s sets at this year’s Field Day festival, Bat For Lashes’ Natasha Khan has recorded a track with London psych outfit TOY.
The song in question is a cover of ‘Aroos Khanom’ by Iranian musician Amir Rassaei, or its English name of ‘The Bride’. It originally featured on Zendooni: Funk, Psychedelia and Pop from the Iranian Pre-Revolution Generation, a compilation celebrating ‘Persian Pop’ from the pre-Revolution Iran.
The cover is out on 1 July as a 7″ via Speedy Wunderground. Listen to it below, via Pitchfork:
