Barack Obama gives Drake his blessing to play him in future film
Former US president Barack Obama has given Canadian rapper Drake his approval to play Obama in a future film if the opportunity arises.
Obama gave Drake his blessing to play the former US president in a film one day during his appearance on Complex News' 360 With Speedy Morman interview yesterday (24 November), as well as discussing COVID-19, Trump and more.
In the second half of the interview, Speedy Morman brings up Drake's comments about him wanting someone to make a Barack Obama biopic so he can play the former president in the film. Morman asks Obama if he would give Drake the "thumbs up" to play him in movie, leading Obama to respond, "I will say this. Drake seems to be able to do anything he wants. I mean, that is a talented, talented brother. If the time comes and he's ready... Drake has more importantly, has my household's stamp of approval. I suspect Malia and Sasha would be just fine with it."
While Drake already has some acting experience from his years on Degrassi in the early 2000's, Post Malone did tell Jimmy Fallon earlier this month that the Canadian rapper is "terrible" at beer pong.
