Bad Brains, Janet Jackson, Depeche Mode among Rock and Roll Hall of Fame nominees

The shortlist for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame's Class Of 2017 is here - with Tupac Shakur, Bad Brains, Janet Jackson, and Depeche Mode all nominated.
Depeche Mode and Tupac are first-time nominees, as are Pearl Jam, Jane’s Addiction, Electric Light Orchestra, Joan Baez, and Bad Brains. This will be the 11th year Chic have been nominated.
Five of the nominated acts will inducted into the Hall Of Fame at a ceremony next April - the chosen artists will be announced in December.
Nine Inch Nails and The Smiths are both missing after appearing in the 2015 and 2016 shortlists.
