Ashe has responded to accusations that she's copying Harry Styles, writing, "It’s about unfair, unjustified, SEXIST comparison."

Some of Harry Styles' fans have accused Ashe of copying Styles after teasing a new song titled "Another Man’s Jeans" on TikTok and making a mashup, leading Ashe to respond to those sending her hate on Twitter.

After briefly responding yesterday (26 December) by writing how "some people rly go for the jugular" and saying she's "annoyed" and "not sad or hurt or angry", Ashe has shared another couuple of tweets about the situation.

"Here’s my peace and i won’t speak on it again," Ashe wrote. "I love harry, i’m inspired by harry and we’re clearly inspired by the same era of music. This isn’t really about that though. And it’s not really about harry or his fan base at all. It’s about unfair, unjustified, SEXIST comparison."

Ashe continued, "It’s not the first time i’ve gotten hate for baseless allegations and it won’t be the last, i just wanted to make my final words on it very clear. I’m not angry or hurt and i’m done being annoyed. I think harry is one of the greats."

"I’m grateful to be making music in the same era as him but i’m not gonna devalue my art or my image by comparing myself to a guy," she added. "Plenty of misogynistic, bitter people can do that for me, that’s that. Thanks to each of you being immeasurably kind, i love you."

Plenty of Styles fans have also rushed to Ashe's defence, writing that the accusations are "actually ridiculous" and that she's "doing absolutely nothing wrong".

Back in May Ashe released her debut album Ashlyn.
