Arrested Development creator reveals details about Season Four at SXSW
Excuse us for a second with this non music-related post but Arrested Development creator Mitch Hurwitz has revealed new details about the seminal show’s upcoming fourth season.
The cult programme was dropped by FOX back in 2006 but has long been subject to speculation ever since, with a film tipped to be in the works.
Today, however, Hurwitz openly spoke about rumours surrounding the show at a press Q&A held at Austin music festival SXSW, where he was joined by cast members Will Arnett and Jeffrey Tambour.
According to PASTE, Hurwitz confirmed that the new series will be 14 episodes in length and released in one go via Netflix during May.
He also revealed that each of these episodes will focus on a different character, with the overarching storyline hinting at the plot of the aforementioned feature-length movie.
The trio also aired some “outtake” clips from the new season that may end up being “intakes”, one featuring a comic incest-laden scene between Buster and Lucille.
Hurwitz and co didn’t give a firm date for the expected film but did reveal that Michael Cera has come on board as a co-writer.
