Are Phoenix getting ready to finally make their long-awaited return? There's certainly something going on...
In this day and age there's no bigger indicator of a band's imminent return than a social media overhaul - just look at Radiohead and The 1975.
The French indie stalwarts have updated their official site and social channels with old French TV test cards. The one on their site, which has been stripped of all functions, is the first colour test card from Office de Radiodiffusion Télévision Française (1967).
Phoenix have laid low since the end of their Bankrupt! chapter - it's been a few years since we heard from the group, so they're probably due a return right?
