Arctic Monkeys postpone UK tour dates due to illness

Having missed out on a second Mercury Prize triumph earlier this week, Arctic Monkeys have now scrapped two UK live dates.

Last night’s gig in Birmingham was cancelled at short notice, while another upcoming in Glasgow has also been postponed. The reason for this appears to be frontman Alex Turner falling ill with laryngitis.

The Birmingham show has been pushed back to 20 November, with the Glasgow date following on 21 November.
