Sheffield’s indie sons, Arctic Monkeys have announced a set of tour dates for Canada and the U.S, only a day after whetting fans’ appetites with news of a fifth album.
Once they’ve taken their bows at this Friday’s headline slot on the Glastonbury Pyramid Stage, Alex Turner and friends will play a host of festivals across Europe before embarking on a tour of North America, stretching through September and into October.
The band recently announced the details of their forthcoming release AM, including the tracklisting, and that it will feature production from Simian Mobile Disco‘s James Ford, and guest spots from Josh Homme and acerbic punk poet John Cooper Clarke.
AM will be the group’s fifth studio album and first release since 2011′s Suck It And See, with songs from the record already being trotted out at their live shows.
