Angel Olsen covers Karen Dalton's "Something On Your Mind"
Angel Olsen has covered Karen Dalton's "Something On Your Mind" for a 7" single that's part of Light in the Attic’s covers series.
The cover, shared by Rolling Stone yesterday (12 January), comes after Olsen read Dalton's journals for last year's In My Own Time documentary.
Olsen's piano-led cover will feature on a new 7" vinyl single that includes Dalton's 1971 original on the b-side, and has been released as part of Light in the Attic's cover series.
Olsen said of the track, ""Something on Your Mind", for me, is about letting yourself face something that keeps setting you back."
Light in the Attic are also releasing a 50th anniversary edition of Dalton's In My Own Time album on 25 March.
