Angel Haze reveals new track "CANDLXS"
Detroit-born rapper/singer Angel Haze has unveiled a new cut called "CANDLXS" from her forthcoming second LP that samples Mumford & Sons.
TROY NoKA (Ciara, Frank Ocean) has produced the cut, which meshes together panpipes, string quartets, '80s guitars and a clipping of "White Blank Page" by Mumford & Sons. It's got eclectic production, that's for sure. It's also a lot different to what featured on her full-length debut, Dirty Gold.
Writing about the track via her Tumblr page, Haze said: "This is one of the first songs I wrote for my new record (also painted the artwork), it feels incredibly personal, but im happy to finally share the passion ive felt but couldnt express"
She also discussed what it means to her on Twitter:
but its different. it really is. im blindfolded swinging at a pinata made of my insides. imagine me in shambles. listen with ur spirit
