Anderson .Paak jokes about linking with the "wrong pop star" following Taylor Swift's album release
Following the release of both Silk Sonic and Taylor Swift's albums last Friday (12 November), Anderson .Paak has joked about working with "the wrong pop star" on socials.
Last Friday Silk Sonic, the collaborative project of .Paak and Bruno Mars, released their debut album An Evening With Silk Sonic, on the same day Taylor Swift released the re-recorded version of her Red album.
On Twitter last night, .Paak shared an image of the US albums chart preview, which shows Swift's album at number one with 570,000, and Silk Sonic in second place with 102,000. He wrote alongside the image, "Looks like I linked up with the wrong pop star! Hey Taylor Swift is your number still the same!? Lmk if you need help with 1989, I’m available! #ShakeItOff."
