American Football to play first live shows in 15 years
Having recently announced the reissue of their first (and only) album, influential post-hardcore outfit American Football will now play their first live shows in over a decade.
Mike Kinsella (later of Cap’n Jazz, Owen, Owls) and co will reissue their 1999 self-titled record along with a bonus disc of session tracks and live recordings on 20 May, celebrating the release with a pair of gigs in September and October.
“Obviously, we knew the time was ripe for three middle aged dudes to play some old songs about teenage feelings, and stand around tuning guitars for a long time,” bandmate Steve Holmes said of the news.
