Amber Arcades shares new single "Alpine Town"
Dutch singer/songwriter Amber Arcades is back with "Alpine Town", lifted from her forthcoming second album European Heartbreak.
Mellow and cool like a breezy summer day, "Alpine Town" further projects Amber Arcade's beautifully quaint musicianship that embodies influences from multiple countries.
"Alpine Town" follows on from earlier singles "Goodnight Europe" and "Simple Song", which are all taken from her sophomore release European Heartbreak.
Speaking about her new track. Annelotte de Graaf, aka Amber Arcades, explained, “I wrote this song exactly a year ago while on holiday in Guillestre, a small town in the French Alps. I was kind of in a sad place and my boyfriend had dragged me along to get away from all that, but I guess it doesn't really work like that, ha. It just made me reflect on the sad part of the tourist condition as a metaphor for life, man.”
Having performed at London's Omeara last month, Amber Arcades with embark on a UK and short European tour in October. Find out more.
