Amber Arcades gets lost in love with new offering "Where Did You Go"
Amber Arcades reveals new single "Where Did You Go" as the final part in the trilogy of videos.
"Where Did You Go" is the final piece in the trilogy of visuals directed by Elliott Arndt. Part one was "Goodnight Europe", while part two featured "Simple Song".
The final part to the trio of videos follows on from the most recent single "Alpine Town".
The Dutch singer/songwriter explains the new single further, "This song is about the irrational nature of love. You need to keep telling yourself you believe in it in order for it to exist at all. On the other hand, maybe it's a cool thing because of that. If it were more "real" it would just be another "thing" you can choose, like a brand of peanut butter. And I'm not so sure about whether always being able to choose all the things makes us better or happier in the end.”
On the visuals, she explains, "In this final part the characters are making a final attempt to put their future together in the hands of destiny, or the universe, or whatever. I'm not sure it works out so well in this case.”
"Where Did You Go" is lifted from her upcoming second album European Heartbreak, which focuses and combines themes of love, time, and the goings on within Europe.
