Alex Cameron announces new album Forced Witness
Alex Cameron has announced new record Forced Witness and shared the video for dazzling lead single "Candy May".
Meghan McGarry has directed the visuals for "Candy May", which she says is "a visual, gut-wrenching longing, seeping out through the skin with a swagger that is distinctively Alex Cameron." The LP continues Cameron's love affair with character studies - it's described as a collection of "vivid portraits of misfits who look at the world without illusion."
Forced Witness - the follow up to last year's Jumping The Shark - was produced with Foxygen's Jonathan Rado and recorded Berlin, Los Angeles, and Las Vegas; horns come courtesy of Roy Molloy. Angel Olsen duets with Cameron on "Stranger's Kiss" (she also provides backing vocals on "Candy May") with The Killers' Brandon Flowers contributing to "Runnin' Outta Luck".
Cameron is set to tour North America, Europe, and the UK in the coming months, with appearances at a bunch of festivals, including BST Summer Time in Hyde Park, End Of The Road, Leeds' This Must Be The Place, and Route Du Rock in France. Find out Cameron's full live plans.
