Albert Hammond Jr, Devendra Banhart, Alexa Chung & more to play benefit gig for School of Seven Bells' Benjamin Curtis
A benefit concert has been organised to help pay for the cancer treatment of School of Seven Bells member, Benjamin Curtis.
Curtis (pictured above) is suffering from T-cell Lymphoblastic Lymphoma, while currently undergoing expensive chemotherapy procedures. Friends and family alike have now come together to organise this New York show, set for 22 August.
Among the acts on the bill include live sets from Interpol’s Paul Banks and Albert Hammond Jr of The Strokes, while model Alexa Chung and singer-songwriter Devendra Banhart will be on the DJ decks for the night.
His bandmate, Alejandra Deheza (also pictured above, revealed the news in February, insisting that the illness is treatable and hoping for a strong recovery.
