Aidan Moffat releases first ever Twitter Vine album
Scottish musician and former Arab Strap member, Aidan Moffat has released what has to be the first album ever made by and released on Vine.
Moffat took to the Twitter-owned video site last night to release a series of eight “theoretically never-ending” looped clips, what he’s (somewhat half-jokingly) referred to as a new album under his L.Pierre moniker, entitled The Eternalist.
It follows on from his recent record using the name, The Island Come True, and precedes new EP Surface Noise - out in September. Listen to the clips here, with Moffat offering a few words on the project below:
“A new album by L. Pierre is now available for free! Perhaps not an album in the strictest sense – it consists of eight (theoretically never-ending) loops with video and was made in Vine. For best results, search for LPierreMusic in the Vine app on your phone/device to find the exclusive L. Pierre profile page and listen from there, preferably with earphones. Alternatively, you can hear it on the new L. Pierre Twitter profile page, and there’s a more desktop-friendly Tumblr version too. But as I say, Vine is best – the video loops were created in Vine and the results are smoother and more precise.”
