About Group stream track 'Words' from new album
Hot Chip / Spiritualized supergroup of sorts, About Group are streaming the first song from their upcoming new album Between the Walls.
‘Words’ is a lethargic, lamenting synth haze, potentially hinting at what Alexis Taylor (of Hot Chip), John Coxon (Spiritualized), Charles Hayward (The Heat) and co. have in store for their third studio album.
Taylor told Rolling Stone: “The song has to do with the idea that words aren’t always equivalent to the multiple meanings of what we wish to say – but that a song, with words, can still continue on and have meanings despite that apparent dichotomy. It’s also about love and friendship and not punching doors, but pushing them open instead.”
It’s available to stream from here. Between the Walls is out on 1st July.
