A new record shop is opening in London next month
Ransom Note Records will open in along Avenue Road in Forest Gate next month, with a launch party set to kickstart the venture on 2 December.
The new store comes from the minds at online culture hub The Ransom Note, and sees the team join up with frequent collaborator Aiden d'Araujo, who pens their House Hunting column and is the "purveyor of the finest wax crack known to man".
Expect a "lovingly curated" assortment of second hand records with a range of genres especially catered for, including house, techno, disco, funk, soul, new wave, synth, Hi-NRG, Italo, and boogie. The store will also stock new numbers from the Ransom Note Records imprint and feature Turntable Technician Neil Macey, who'll be able to service your hardware.
Ransom Note Records will be nestled in a railway arch space across from Wanstead Park, just a few minutes' walk from Forest Gate overground station.
