A new film on Bob Dylan's Rolling Thunder Revue tour of 1975-76 is coming to Netflix, and it's directed by Martin Scorsese.

Bob Dylan's Rolling Thunder Revue tour with musicians Joan Baez, Roger McGuinn, and Ramblin' Jack Elliott is an iconic tour that has been the focus of recent rumours that a film would be made about the tour.

Variety has confirmed the news that a documentary will be made about the Rolling Thunder Revue tour, but even better, it'll be directed by the iconic Martin Scorsese.

Rolling Thunder Revue: A Bob Dylan Story by Martin Scorsese won't just be a documentary, with Variety's source stating, “There’s a reason the word ‘story’ appears in the title."

The article states that Scorsese's new film will include some rare footage of Bob Dylan being interviewed on camera. The interviews were apparently conducted by Dylan's manager Jeff Rosen, who also conducted the interviews for Scorsese's previous Bob Dylan film from 2005, No Direction Home.

There's no concrete release date for Rolling Thunder Revue: A Bob Dylan Story by Martin Scorsese, but Variety reports that it's still "months away" from receiving a premiere date. Bob Dylan plays London's BST Hyde Park with Neil Young this summer. Find out more.
