2:54's UK shows start tonight, share cover of The Doors' "Take It As It Comes" [Premiere]
Post-punk outfit 2:54 are about to start a trio of UK shows, and to celebrate, they've also dropped a cover of The Doors' "Take It As It Comes" which you can check out now, exclusively on Best Fit.
Spearheaded by sisters Hannah and Colette Thurlow, the band's hypnotic, swirling textures and misty atmospherics work sensationally to create something true to the psychedlic nature of the original, but that also sounds distinctly like 2:54.
The original features on The Doors' seminal self-titled debut, alongside more well-known cuts like "Break On Through (To The Other Side)" and "Light My Fire".
2:54 will play the following UK dates, with main support coming from Grumbling Fur at all shows:
February
2 - Manchester, The Deaf Institute
3 - Bristol, The Lantern
4 - London, Dingwalls
2:54's latest record The Other I is out now on Bella Union.
