Lady Gaga unveils tracklist for her forthcoming album, MAYHEM
Taking to her socials, Lady Gaga has shared the tracklist for her seventh studio album, MAYHEM.
The tracklist for MAYHEM includes previously released tracks, "Disease", her standalone collaboration with Bruno Mars, “Die With a Smile”, and "Abracadabra".
“The album started as me facing my fear of returning to the pop music my earliest fans loved,” said Gaga at the time of the album's announcement. The forthcoming album, MAYHEM follows on from 2020's, Chromatica. Gaga describes the creative process as “reassembling a shattered mirror: even if you can’t put the pieces back together perfectly, you can create something beautiful and whole in its own new way.”
Following the album's release, Lady Gaga will perform double duties on Saturday Night Live, as both the host and the musical guest.
Last week, she appeared on the show for its 50th anniversary special. Andy Sandberg and Lady Gaga and performed a rendition of A Star Is Born's "Shallow". After a few lines of the first verse, they decided to call it quits and perform something that was more in the vocal range of Sandberg. They then began to get into The Lonely Island’s track, "Dick in a Box", before a medley of some of their most iconic songs hits including "Lazy Sunday" with Chris Parnell, "I Just Had Sex" with Bad Bunny, "I’m on a Boat" with T-Pain, and "Jack Sparrow" with Eddie Vedder.
