
LA Priest announces third album with lead single "It's You"
LA Priest is back with news of his third studio album Fase Luna, and has delivered the lead single "It's You" to accompany the announcement.
"It's You" is the first outing from LA Priest, real name Sam Eastgate, since remixing Erol Alkan's "Automatic" in 2021, and is teamed with a video directed by Eoin Glaister that stars Juliet Cowan (Cuckoo, Stuck).
Eastgate says of the single, "It’s about a guy who falls in love with a sea mermaid or water spirit and has to choose between life on the land or the ocean. Some of it sounds like he's on the edge of madness."
Fase Luna will follow LA Priest's 2020 album GENE, and was inspired by the sea after Eastgate got stuck on a beach in Puerto Morelos in 2021 due to travel restrictions. He says of his third studio album, "I want to give people a feeling that they’re free when they listen to it, it’s not bringing you back to reality, it’s escapism."

"It's You" is out now. LA Priest's Fase Luna album will arrive via Domino on 5 May, and is available to pre-order now. He'll play London's Corsica Studios on 6 October. Tickets go on general sale 20 March at 10am GMT via earthwindow.org.
