King Isis announces forthcoming EP, SIRENITY
King Isis has announced the brand new EP, SIRENITY, alongside the release of new single, "PERMANENTLY BROKEN."
The brand new track exemplifies their search for self as they work through existential dread and misdirection. “This song represents my habits of overthinking, feelings of imposter syndrome and an ode to my anxieties,” they say of the song. “It’s find of of a fuck it we ball moment and just going for it, not seeking perfection after striving for it for so long.”
The Oakland-born and raised artist connects with Bartees Strange, Monte Booker, Greyskiin and Estelle Allen as co-collaborators, continuing the search for comfort in the unknown and expanding on themes of catharsis and chaos heard on shed released last year.
“It’s mostly an unserious, sometimes self-deprecating exploration of pieces of me,” Isis says. “It’s a nod to my younger selves, an acknowledgement of constant growth and transformation, that life is full of ebbs and flows.”
