Kelly Clarkson joins Dolly Parton on updated version of "9 to 5"
Kelly Clarkson and Dolly Parton have released the new version of "9 to 5" recorded for the Still Working 9 to 5 documentary.
Back in February it was revealed that Parton and Clarkson had teamed up on a new version of Parton's huge hit "9 to 5", which would be included in the Still Working 9 to 5 documentary premiered at SXSW 2022.
It was also reported that Parton and Clarkson recorded their vocals in November and December last year, and filmed themselves in the studio for a music video, and today (9 September) the audio of their "9 to 5" collaboration has finally been released.
Parton told Rolling Stone of the new version last month, "I was blown away when I heard what Shane [McAnally, producer] had done with my song. This arrangement shows how differently a song can be done and the story can be told in a whole new way. A special thanks to Steve Summers for getting the ball rolling on this whole musical venture."
