Keeley Forsyth is joined by Colin Stetson on new single, "Turning"
Keeley Forsyth has shared "Turning" as the second single to be taken from her forthcoming album, The Hollow.
"Turning" was born after Forsyth attended Colin Stetson's solo live show, and decided to invite him to collaborate.
"Colin is a force, elemental and truly moving to witness. Experiencing him perform live was in many ways the catalyst for this collaboration. I wanted to try and match his instrumentation with a percussive, staccato vocal line, aiming to complement his playing without overshadowing or personally being so central to the piece," Forsyth explains. "It’s quite rare to hear Colin’s playing accompanied by a vocalist and it’s an experiment I’d like to explore with him further in the future."
The Hollow will be released on 10 May via FatCat's 130701 imprint, and is available to pre-order now.
