Kate Nash makes surprise appearance during Sprints’ Glastonbury set
Dublin punks Sprints delivered a surprise moment of nostalgia during their Woodsies Stage set at Glastonbury 2025, bringing out Kate Nash for a rendition of her hit “Foundations,” before weaving in a chorus of The Ting Tings’ “That’s Not My Name” to close the track.
Toward the end of their Sunday afternoon slot, frontwoman Karla Chubb paused to introduce Nash as a special guest, sharing that the band had recently covered “Foundations” for a BBC Radio 1 session. Describing the track as “a bit of an English classic” and “a song which we adore,” Chubb welcomed Nash to the stage.
The appearance followed Sprints’ announcement of their second album All That It Over, set for release on 26 September via City Slang and Sub Pop. The announcement was accompanied by lead single “Descartes.”
Sprints are currently touring Europe with Bloc Party and Fontaines D.C., and will return for a headline UK and Ireland tour in November.
The full Glastonbury set is available to watch on BBC iPlayer, with Nash’s appearance beginning around the 43-minute mark.
