Kara-Lis Coverdale to release third album of the year, Changes In Air
Kara-Lis Coverdale announces that she will be releasing Changes In Air, her third full-length release this year, and shares lead single "Curve Traces of Held Space".
Montreal-based composer, musician, and producer Kara-Lis Coverdale has revealed that she will be releasing a new album, Changes In Air. Coverdale released From Where You Came in May, her first new album in eight years. This was followed by Actions in a Sphere of Forever , which came out just last month, making Changes In Air her third full-length release of this year.
Changes In Air is an adapted body of work originally meant to be an installation at Skarven, a floating sauna in Oslo. The collection was composed, played, and recorded by Coverdale alone in Montreal in 2019, but she finished it this year, taking influence from natural elements - wood, water, and sun - as well as materials such as glass and metal. This trilogy of albums marks her first major work since 2017.
Coverdale has recently performed at London's ICA, and is presently touring through Europe with stops in Poland, Spain, Portugal, and Estonia, before she plays Brazil's Festival Novas FrequĂȘncias in December.
Changes In Air is due for release on 21 November via Smalltown Supersound.
