Julia Jacklin speaks to her younger self on new song, "I Wish"
Australian songwriter Julia Jacklin has released "I Wish", the second single from her upcoming album, The Gem.
"I Wish" follows lead single "Get Away From Me (I Think I’ll Love You Soon)", and also features Elsie and Maggie Rigby of Melbourne contemporary folk band, The Maes. The track is noted to be written for Jacklin's younger self, and the "swansong" of The Gem.
Following the release of The Gem, Jacklin will be embarking on an extensive tour of North America, the United Kingdom, and Europe. Beginning in California on 20 October, Jacklin will conclude the North American leg in November before bringing her live show to the UK/EU in early 2027.
The Gem is released on 25 September via 4AD
