Julia Jacklin covers Céline Dion's "My Heart Will Go On" at Madrid show
Julia Jacklin performed a cover of Céline Dion's legendary Titanic hit "My Heart Will Go On" during a Madrid show last night (30 November).
Last night (30 November) Julia Jacklin played a show in Madrid, and closed her 16-song set with a cover of Céline Dion's 1997 Titanic ballad "My Heart Will Go On".
When announcing her August album PRE PLEASURE, Jacklin named Céline Dion as one of main influences for the record, "Once music becomes your job, you can lose the purity of music fandom," she explained. "I spent the last two years trying to reconnect with that. I didn’t play much, I just listened. Especially to a lot of big pop music like Céline Dion, Robyn and Luther Vandross – music that wasn’t so heavy, big feelings, big production. You lose sight of what putting on a big, beautiful song can do."
Julia Jacklin's tour continues tonight (1 December) in Lisbon, Portugal. Her PRE PLEASURE album is out now on Transgressive Records.
