Joyeria announces Live At The Windmill album

02 November 2026, 16:30 | Written by Hayden Merrick

London-via-Canada indie rock bizarro Joyeria has announced that later this month he will release Live At The Windmill, a live album recorded at the Brixton venue back in August. Fun fact: It will be the first ever live recording from the Windmill to be released on vinyl.

The record was captured without the band knowing the show was being taped. It features an unreleased song, “Outlived by Rocks”, and a cover of Silver Jews’ “Punks in the Beerlight”.

"We had no idea the show was being recorded, and thus all the backline was whatever the Windmill had in-house. All the drums, amps, mics, everything," Joyeria said. "We came, we played, we sank a few. It cost £5 to see the show. There is no art where there is money... Roof Dog forever!”, a reference to the venue's mascot, a Rottweiler that used to sit on the roof until its death.

Live At The Windmill will be released digitally and on limited pink vinyl. It follows Joyeria’s debut album, Decay Decay Decay, which came out in July. The live album is the first live recording from the Windmill in Brixton to be released on vinyl.

Alongside the announcement, Joyeria has shared a video for “The Donkey”, which appears on the live album. He said: “The contentment of the donkey is the polar opposite of the clown - desperate for audience attention and laughter to validate its existence - yet any attention given still can’t penetrate the face paint; real human connection is impossible. Oh, how the clown must envy the donkey! Run you clown. Run. Faster.”

Joyeria will play Altar in Leyton on 12 November, Dash the Henge in Camberwell for an instore on 19 November, and they'll be back at the Windmill on 27 November.
