Johnny Marr, Glen Matlock and more feature on new Blondie album, High Noon

Blondie have announced High Noon, their first new album in nine years, and shared lead single, "Spectral Eyes", written by Johnny Marr.

High Noon marks Blondie's twelfth album and follows 2017's Pollinator. Lead single "Spectral Eyes", written by Marr with additional guitar from the artist, arrives alongside the announcement. The song introduces the band's mix of sounds and collaborators, which, in addition to Marr, include Glen Matlock, Zach Condon of Beirut, and Jess Wolfe and Holly Laessig of Lucius

Sessions for High Noon began in 2022, with the band recording in New York City alongside producer John Congleton, who previously worked with Blondie on their 2017 album Pollinator, and production and mixing from David Wrench. The album also marks the final recording of Blondie co-founding drummer Clem Burke following his passing in 2025.

"This album is classic Blondie — an amalgamation of all our different influences and eras into something new," says Debbie Harry. "This music feels grounded in the present, shaped by who we are and how we're living now."

"It's been a long, strange ride, and somehow here we are with another Blondie album," Chris Stein adds. "I'm not sure what the fuck I'm supposed to say at this point, except that we're incredibly grateful for all your support over the years."
