Jim James unveils transcendent new track, “Wowed Out”
Jim James has released "Wowed Out", the title track from his upcoming solo album, Wowed Out, due in August.
"Wowed Out" follows lead single "Come Again", and sees James expand his soulful psychedelic sound, as he explains: “Lately I’ve been really into music like Alice Coltrane’s spiritual recordings where it’s just her and organ praying together, and there’s no major event. I wanted these songs to feel like a journey that takes you somewhere rewarding, without always trying for some big dramatic payoff like a massive chorus or a huge guitar solo.”
Following the release of Wowed Out, James will hit the road for several solo headline shows beginning on 28 November at the Kentucky Performing Arts’ Brown Theatre in his hometown of Louisville. This will be followed in December with additional headline shows in Chicago, New York, Boston and more.
