Jane Remover shares surprise album "status update music" as Leroy
A little over a year on from her last surprise LP Revengeseekerz, the hyperpop artist Jane Remover has dropped another unannounced release – this time under the moniker Leroy.
The 15-track status update music arrived on Bandcamp with minimal warning, following a pattern of quiet activity that included a SoundCloud mixtape posted and deleted in August last year.
The album’s Bandcamp caption reads: “my life as I lived it from may 2025 to may 2026.” Its second song, "XO TOUR LLIF3", mashes up Sleeping With Sirens’ 2011 track "If You Can’t Hang" with Ellie Goulding’s 2015 bop "On My Mind". The result is a deliberately disjointed mix of samples and digicore production.
Jane Remover, who has built a reputation for prolific output across multiple aliases, released Revengeseekerz in 2025. That album appeared on several year-end lists, though the artist has since continued to operate with little advance notice. status update music continues that approach.
The record is credited to Leroy, a side project name the artist has used before for more chaotic or experimental material. Song titles and sample choices suggest a looser, more abrasive energy than some of her work as Jane Remover.
Listeners can stream or purchase status update music via Bandcamp now.
