James Blake announces new album Trying Times, featuring Dave and Monica Martin

A statement on the record from Blake's camp describes it as moving "...along the pressure lines of modern life, where overwhelm becomes both subject and atmosphere. The result is a body of work suspended between hope and dread. It moves through the comfort of loving and being loved while recognising how fragile that safety can feel when global anxieties and private doubts pull in opposing directions."

New song "Death of Love" is released today in its studio form – which you can watch below – as well as a live performance video by Harrison Adair, featuring the London Welsh Men's Choir.

Dave appears on the track "Doesn’t Just Happen"; Blake previously collaborated with the UK rapper on last year's The Boy Who Played The Harp.

Blake teased the album a few days back at the tryingtimes.info website – users who entered the password "TryingTimes" were sent to page a message from Blake announcing a new record.
