James Acaster and Graeme Wicks to launch The Wow! Scenario with debut album, Stand In The Star. A Verse and A Chorus

The duo first formed the band in Kettering in 2004, but axed the project after recording all of their songs with producer Chris Hamilton. Their name itself is even a nod to an audience member stating that they don't have "the X factor", but incorrectly phrasing it as “You don’t have the wow scenario, guys. You need to get the wow scenario.”

Today, they reveal that they're giving the band another shot, this time with guest vocalists BC Camplight and Emma Daman. New singlel "Zacuti!" is the first look into their return.

Stand in the Star. A Verse and a Chorus took twenty years for the band to come around to. They spent three years of hard work hoping to be the next big breakout band, even taking singing lessons, just to find that they were playing weekly gigs to small audiences that didn't quite take to the "acquired taste" of The Wow! Scenario. After working on the songs with Hamilton and ultimately calling it quits, they returned to the studio in 2018 to revisit the album with new vocals and instrumentals, before finally completing it last March.
