Jade Bird reckons with broken relationships on new single, "Who Wants"
LA-based artist Jade Bird has returned with the brand new single, "Who Wants".
Written in the wake of her parents’ divorce when she was just 16, and perfected over nearly ten years, the song captures the pain of losing yourself in a relationship and the lingering presence of past generations in our own heartbreaks.
“I wrote this about divorce. It's about the symptoms of a broken relationship that you don't advertise or want to talk about. Staying inside the shell or ghost of what once was, while mourning what could have been.” Jade Bird explains.
"Who Wants" is Jade Bird’s first new music since the Burn The Hard Drive EP, a collaboration with Mura Masa, was released last year.
