Items from Taylor Hawkins tribute concerts to be auctioned off for charity next week
A selection of items used at the two Taylor Hawkins tribute concerts are going up for auction next week, and will see all proceeds split between Music Support and MusiCares.
Back in September two tribute concerts in memory of the late Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins took place in London and LA, and next week some items from both the concerts will be auctioned off for charity.
The auction will include a selection of guitars, cymbals and drum skins signed by some of the tribute concert performers, including Dave Grohl and Nirvana's Krist Novoselic, and proceeds from the auction will be donated to Music Support and MusiCares, the same charities supported at the Hawkins tribute concerts.
Laura Segura, Executive Director of MusiCares said, "MusiCares was honoured to be the US non-profit beneficiary for the Taylor Hawkins Tribute Concerts and we are proud to partner with Julien’s Auctions on this incredible collection."
Segura added, "We are dedicated to helping the humans behind the music because music gives so much to the world, and this auction continues the beautiful celebration of Taylor’s life, and his immense contribution to the music industry."
Items from the Taylor Hawkins tribute concerts will go up for auction from 11-13 November via juliensauctions.com.
