Interpol to make Partisan Records debut with first album in four years, This Mirror Weighs a Ton

This Mirror Weighs a Ton follows Interpol's 2022 album The Other Side of Make-Believe, released on Matador. "This Mirror Weight a Ton" and "See Out Loud" arrive as the first previews of the new work, with the latter featuring vocals from guitarist Daniel Kessler for the first time since the band's track "PDA" from their 2002 debut, Turn On the Bright Lights.

This Mirror Weighs a Ton was produced by Andrew Wyatt (ROSALÍA, Charli xcx) at his studio in Manhattan — the band's first time recording an album beyond their home space in over a decade — and mixed by David Fridmann (Sleater-Kinney, MGMT). The album focuses on themes of reflection, perception and emotional tension, with Interpol's sound expanded on with more experimental sounds, including strings, woodwinds, layered vocal harmonies, and acoustic guitar.

Next month, Interpol will be hitting the road for a North American tour. They are also set to return to the UK/EU for an appearance at Outbreak Festival London on 23 August, before embarking on a co-headline tour with Bloc Party, beginning at Copenhagen's Royal Arena on 10 November.
