Interpol delve into the tension between the past and future on new track, "Iron City"
Interpol have released "Iron City", the third single to be lifted from their upcoming album, This Mirror Weighs a Ton.
"Iron City" follows earlier singles "This Mirror Weighs a Ton" and "See Out Loud", and chronicles dreams and moments that singer Paul Banks recalls in a conversation with a future consciousness that watches over humanity. It's a surreal glimpse into the upcoming collection of songs, which is said to push the band into new territory.
Just ahead of the release of This Mirror Weighs a Ton, Interpol will be performing at Outbreak Festival London before playing an eighteen-date co-headline run with Bloc Party throughout the United Kingdom and Europe. The tour will begin in Copenhagen on 10 November, concluding in December in London with two dates at Olympia.
This Mirror Weighs A Ton is released on 28 August via Partisan Records
