HowTheLightGetsIn 2022 postponed until October due to Queen's death and State funeral

19 September 2022, 11:40 | Written by Cerys Kenneally

London's HowTheLightGetsIn festival has been moved to the first week of October due to the Queen's death and the festival's proximity to the State funeral.

HowTheLightGetsIn 2022 was originally due to take place at London's Kenwood House on 17 and 18 September, but following the death of Queen Elizabeth II and the "proximity to the State funeral" today (19 September), the festival has been moved to the 1 and 2 October.

As well as confirming the new dates for the 2022 festival, Plumm, Léa Sen and [ K S R ] will play the event alongside headliners Gwenno and Django Django (DJ).

HowTheLightGetsIn's 2022 theme is Error and Renaissance, and as well as hosting music, the festival will include talks from Australian moral philosopher Peter Singer, author Esther Freud, Labour politician Thangam Debbonaire, cognitive psychologist Donald Hoffman, British novelist Alex Wheatle, journalist Amelia Gentleman and neurosurgeon Henry Marsh.

HowTheLightGetsIn 2022 will take place at London's Kenwood House on 1 and 2 October 2022. Visit howthelightgetsin.org for more information.
