Holly Macve, Victor Ray and more to perform at Montreux Jazz Festival's Spotlight Sessions
Montreux Jazz Festival has announced the return of the Spotlight Sessions, the concert series showcasing the rising stars of the music industry.
The MJF Spotlight Sessions will feature Canadian pianist Tony Ann, French multidisciplinary artist Marguerite Thiam, French-Cameroonian singer, rapper and pianist Yamê whose genre-bending style has created an incredible buzz, María José Llergo a Spanish singer who blends R&B melodies over a flamenco canvas, folk singer Holly Macve who has collaborated with Lana Del Rey, and Victor Ray – who has captured the world’s attention through his Tik Tok videos of him busking on the streets of London.
Following residencies in London, Hamburg and Zurich, MJF took its Spotlight Sessions initiative to Villars in 2023. Following the success of last year's inaugural edition, Montreux Jazz Festival's Spotlight Sessions will return to Villars-sur-Ollon, Switzerland. Six emerging artists from across all genres have been selected to perform, with the concerts set to take place at the Théâtre du Villars Palace on the weekends of 9-10 February, 16-17 February, and 1-2 March.
