Holly Humberstone previews deluxe version of Cruel World with new single, "Too Cute To Be Lonely”
Holly Humberstone has announced Cruel World…So It Ends, a deluxe edition of her second album, and unveiled new song "Too Cute To Be Lonely".
The expanded album features five brand new tracks, with "Too Cute To Be Lonely" marking a shift into brighter territory for Humberstone. Inspired by ABBA, Madonna and Robyn, the track is a dancefloor-leaning alt-pop song, with the accompanying video, directed by Silken Weinberg, continuing the dark fairytale world of Cruel World. "To me the fairytale doesn't end, it just turns a page to a new chapter," says Humberstone. "Cruel World was a journey of self discovery and finding my confidence in my voice, the songs within So It Ends feel more confident and self assured."
Earlier this summer, Humberstone released it's a real Cruel World, an EP that reimagined four standout tracks from the album, featuring fresh versions of "White Noise", "Red Chevy", the title track and "To Love Somebody".
The announcement of the deluxe album closes out a busy period of festivals and touring, which saw Humberstone perform at Reading & Leeds, support The War on Drugs at British Summertime, and play Summer Sonic, Mad Cool, All Things Go and Governors Ball, alongside headline dates across North America.
Humberstone will bring the Cruel World universe to the stage with her UK and Ireland tour in January 2027, with support from Chloe Qisha throughout, culminating in a headline show at London's O2 Academy Brixton on 26 January. Ahead of this run, she will also be supporting Gracie Abrams at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles this December.
Cruel World…So It Ends is released on 13 November
