Hohnen Ford falls in love on new track, “Burn My Return Ticket (The Rat Song)”
North-London artist Hohnen Ford has shared her new single “Burn My Return Ticket (The Rat Song)”.
"Burn My Return Ticket is essentially about falling in love with someone to the point where you don't see any of the gritty, ugly parts of the city because all you remember is the love that you feel when you're with that person in that place," Ford explains. "New York is infamously a tough place to be. It's noisy and the summers are too hot and the winters are too cold, but somehow it can become the most perfect backdrop in the world to fall in love. Even something like the big hairy rats of the subway could become something that seems quite romantic and wonderful and something that you want to embrace."
In June, Hohnen Ford will perform a string of dates across the UK/IE, with shows in Bristol, Birmingham, Leeds, Glasgow, Manchester, London, and Dublin.
