Hohnen Ford announces new EP Incurable Optimist featuring Tiny Habits
Hohnen Ford has announced her forthcoming EP, Incurable Optimist, alongside the release of new track, "Skylight" featuring folk-pop group Tiny Habits.
"I wrote Skylight on the day “I wish I had a God” the title track of my previous EP came out. They are sister songs in a way, articulating how grief changes and remains over time. Dedicated to Imogen Moore-Shelley," Hohnen Ford explains.
"One of the painful things about putting out “I wish I had a God” was creating something out of a loss with no silver linings. A grief with no end. Releasing that song into the world taught me the beauty and generosity in that process. Watching so many people resonating with Imogen’s light that ripples through the songs she has inspired is a special thing. Writing Skylight was a part of accepting and embracing that."
Hohnen Ford’s upcoming third EP Incurable Optimist navigates the fragility of being human. Its lyrics delve into both familial and romantic grief, moments of desolation, and a visceral sense of disconnect towards a long-distance relationship.
Incurable Optimist, will be released on 3 October via Giant Music.
