Hannah Frances signs to Fire Talk Records, drops deluxe edition of Keeper of the Shepherd
Folk musician Hannah Frances has signed to Fire Talk Records and released a new deluxe edition of Keeper of the Shepherd, her 2024 breakout record.
Out today, adds two previously unreleased tracks to the digital re-release, including early, stripped-back demos of “Bronwyn”, as well as the album’s title track.
The Vermont-based artist independently released the original version of Keeper of the Shepherd earlier this year, finding a dedicated audience through word of mouth and touring. Signing to Fire Talk Records marks a new chapter for Frances, giving the album a second life and paving the way for what’s next.
“I feel very grateful for this uplifting new partnership with Fire Talk, and for Keeper of the Shepherd to reach more listeners. These demos are a peek into the arrangement and production process, as they're the most stripped back version of the songs as I wrote them.” says the newly signed artist.
Keeper of the Shepherd will also see its first wide physical release, due out on 11 July.
Frances has built a reputation for creating tracks that blend folk, ambient, and diaristic lyricism. The two new demos offer a glimpse into the early days of the album.
The Keeper of the Shepherd (Deluxe Edition) is available to stream now. More music is on the way.
