Hana Stretton tackles ecological grief on upcoming second album, tiarn
Ambient-folk producer, composer, and multi-instrumentalist Hana Stretton has announced her upcoming album, tiarn, and shared new single, “Stove”.
tiarn follows Stretron’s 2023 debut Soon, and explores her desire for connection and nature through both classical and electronic compositions. “Stove” arrives as the first preview of the new work, offering a glimpse into Stretton’s world after nearly four years existing in isolation.
tiarn was self-recorded by Stretton in a small Australian beach town, which allowed her to delve into themes of ecological grief and draw from her time living near the ocean, while observing the winter migration of whales.
Following the release, Stretton is set to embark on a run of tour dates beginning in Dublin on 5 September, before she continues through the United Kingdom and North America.
