Halsey heralds a new era with new single, "The End"
Announcing her forthcoming fifth studio album, Halsey shared the new release "The End" as a preview before the official first single.
In a video posted to her Instagram, Halsey revealed that she has been diagnoses with Lupus and Leukaemia and has been secretly battling the two illnesses alongside writing her new music. “long story short, i’m Lucky to be alive. short story long, i wrote an album. it begins with The End. out now," she wrote.
Later in the video, she manifests a brighter future, saying: “I feel like an old lady. I told myself I’m giving myself two more years to be sick. ... I’m having a rebirth, and I’m not going to be sick, and I’m going to look super hot and have lots of energy and I’m just going to get to redo my twenties in my thirties.”
"The End" is out now. Halsey will be donating all proceeds to Lupus Research Alliance and Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
