Guy Pearce and Ray Winstone cameo in John Hillcoat-directed video for Human Matter debut
Los Angeles-based collective Human Matter have released their debut single, “Sick Of The Ughhh”, with an accompanying music video directed by John Hillcoat.
Human Collective was formed by Sleepie Louie — the alias of Louie Moe Hillcoat — who blends hip-hop, funk, house, and punk, and has collaborated with the likes of Atticus Ross, Ulrich Krieger, and more.
“Sick Of The Ughhh” arrives as the collective’s first single, and arrives alongside a video directed by Australian director John Hillcoat, who is credited for his work with Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, Muse, Depeche Mode, and more. The video sees the collective cruise through a Hollywood bus tour, pointing out the absurdity of spectacle with appearances from actors Guy Pearce and Ray Winstone.
Human Matter are currently looking ahead at a busy 2026, with plans to start rolling out singles from both the collective and Sleepy Louie, two EPs, and two albums in the works.
