Growing Pains share Mullholland Drive-inspired track, "Crush"
Portland quartet Growing Pains have released "Crush", the latest preview of their upcoming debut album, Daniel Loves Mandy Forever, due in October.
"Crush" follows previous singles "Swimming" and "Drive", showcasing a range of the band's influences, from art museum trips to Bruce Springsteen and Roy Orbison.
The new track takes inspiration from David Lynch's 2001 thriller Mullholand Drive, as the band explain: "This song is about trying, but failing to comprehend the nature of desire with language. How do you articulate the failure of language? This song tries to examine this space–a breakthrough of romantic desire creating delirium in the subject."
Daniel Loves Mandy Forever is released on 9 October via Photo Finish
